Cowboy Magic is awesome
First off, for those of you who have never heard of this, let me explain. Cowboy Magic is a leave in detangler that is mainly used on horse manes and tails. It WORKS like magic, and so it is aptly named. Just put some in your hand, spread it over your palms and fingers and then run your hands through their hair. Tangles are no longer a problem as your brush will just glide right on through. I love how it smells, and the shine it gives my horse's hair. It's just phenomenal s

Magnetic Hock Boots are awesome!
Classic Equine Magnetic Hock boots If your horse has joint stiffness in the hocks, I highly recommend these! Horses can get arthritis, or joint inflammation, for a variety of reasons. My own horse has arthritis in one of her hocks, which was caused by an injury, and she can be a little stiff when she's just starting out a workout. As she warms up the stiffness does go away, but to optimize her circulation, and help with (trying to) heal the area, I decided to give these a try

Have a cat with asthma?
I'm not sure how many people out there end up with a cat that develops asthma, however this could work for any animal that could suffer from asthma and needs to use litter. So here we go! I noticed that my sweet Sally kitty was hacking and coughing a lot, and initially I figured she was dealing with hairballs. After watching her one day, though, I noticed there was no hairball at all, but she continued to struggle with a gagging, hacking cough of some type. I took her to the

Equinety Horse XL Supplement
This supplement has definitely made a positive difference in our OTTB's overall health. I've been purchasing this since January of 2023, because our horses have a uniquely difficult time keeping weight on, most especially in the winter. I did a lot of internet sleuth sessions trying to find a supplement that would really give them an edge in maintaining good overall health, and the reviews on this one were really good, so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did. Our OTTB's

Hoof guard sealant
I got this just to try to find something that can help keep my horse from needing to have metal shoes on her front hooves. Her diet changes and oiling her hooves had definitely improved the quality of her front hooves, but it was not enough to keep them from breaking on our very hard ground. I started using this product on all 4 of her hooves once every week, and I noticed a marked improvement in the size and frequency of the chips coming out of her hooves. I've used this on

Equiderma skin lotion for horses.
This stuff is shockingly helpful for the skin issues we've come up against with our horses. Not just our OTTBs. Charlie gets very gritty, scabby skin right at where her naval is. Flies like to sit there and chew on her, and no amount of fly spray has helped. I used this stuff on her ONCE, and her naval was clear of all scabs and grit. I haven't even had to put on a second coat of it yet, and it's been months! We also used it on Remi's rear legs, where he gets 'stud crud', and

Stretch Horse Slinky Hood (Gallopoff)
My mare is almost 16 hands, and she's got an unusually long neck, so I got her a XXL. It fits her perfectly at the head, down the neck, and does not have issues staying put behind the withers. The wither strap is just a bit too long, but I was able to carefully tie a flattened knot in the strap twice and now it fits perfectly around her girth area. I'm going to get straight to the point, this hood is one of the best I've used, and at a price point of about 30 dollars it's a
