Meal prepping containers

I did not grow up with meal prepping. My family adopted the habit of cooking very large meals, and then eating the leftovers for days after from the fridge. For the record I still do this from time to time, and I have no problem with it. As a mom who also works full time, having the time to cook fresh meals every day is impossible. Of course there's also the issue of feeling bored with the same meal day in and day out, right? Well I know I can't stop cooking meals in large quantities, so the ability to save them for later in a more reasonable way seemed like the logical thing to do. I like to cook as many big meals as I can when I have some time to do so, get them into the containers, and have them ready for whenever we get hungry. We have an instant little variety of things to choose from, and it's honestly kind of fun!

I looked into meal prepping containers, and though it might be cheaper and easier to do so, I did not want to use plastic containers. I wanted glass. I knew I'd be keeping the majority of the prepped meal containers in the freezers, and it just seems safer to use glass.

I also wanted a set that wasn't going to cost me too much, since I knew I'd need several.

Regular meals like Turkey tenderloin with rice and veggies work very nicely with the containers I decided on. I'll have to do my soup container choice for another post, because that one was a bit more involved than this one. Thankfully I have had no issues with the containers! I think the only problem I had, at all, was getting one container in the mail already broken. Amazon was very convenient in this case and I got an entire new set free of charge once I showed them the proof of the broken one.

Thanks to these very nice glass containers (yes the lids are plastic, but that has actually been fine for me), I'm a big fan of meal prepping, and no matter what large meal I make I can just pop the rest into the containers and store them in the freezer for later! Also, being glass, it's a lot safer to take them out and pop them in the microwave to reheat the meal. So if you're looking into which containers to use for your meal prep, may I humbly suggest these.
