Most babies need a bottle warmer at some point, right? We went through about 3. We got the original type that you put a bit of water in, and it makes steam, or boils the water to warm the bottle. Then we got one that circulates air to warm the bottle.

Unfortunately, with both types, we had situations that caused the bottles to leak into the internal components from time to time, which is a big hassle for either type of warmer. I did find that if I did not screw the caps down completely the leaking wouldn't happen, and if I could have, I would have left the caps off completely while the bottles were in the warmers. We have cats. No matter where we put the warmers the cats could get to them, and I just did not want there to be any accidents where the open bottle was compromised or knocked over to spill. We ended up using a flat cap while it was in the warmer, and a nipple cap was at the ready so that we could just switch them.

I did prefer the type of warmer that just used circulated air to warm the bottle. It was the easiest one to use, and even when there was a bottle leak it wasn't too hard to get it cleaned up. It also kept bottles at temperature for any length of time you needed, for those of us that like to plan ahead of a baby hunger meltdown. I did find that attempting to plan ahead with a 'steam' or 'boil' warmer was not convenient. The situation usually ended in one of two ways. Bottle got too cool before the baby needed it, or the absolutely dreadful wait for the bottle to get to temperature while your baby is screaming.

In my opinion the waterless warmers are definitely the way to go, and since my own purchase it appears that there have been upgrades to the designs for the waterless type.

Thank you for reading, and God bless you.
